BASIC SCHEDULE
The OSSC's rules have been approved by the ACL under Registration No. 20083182
R U L E S
1. THE COMPETITION
The OSSC consists of a series of what will probably be 7 circuit races on an invitation basis. This is a DRIVERS' CHAMPIONSHIP.
2. COMPETITION BASIS
The OSSC is carried out in accordance with the following sporting codes, rulings and provisions, by which all competitors and drivers must abide when they submit their application:
International Sporting Code of the F.I.A. with appendices: legal and procedural code of the ACL; ACL Event Code and circuit rules, technical regulations for historic vehicles according to Appendix K, the general rules of the relevant promoter, the current rules, provisions and rulings of the ACL, ACL doping rules.
3. PARTICIPANTS
All drivers with an international C-Licence are entitled to participate. They must be enrolled in the OSSC or be nominated as guest drivers.
A maximum of 50 participants for registration in the OSSC 2008 will be accepted.
The organiser is entitled to permit guest drivers for individual events.
PLEASE NOTE: The organiser has the right to reject registrations/applications with
specifying reasons.
4. COMPETITORS
Companies or clubs with a competitor licence may enrol as competitors. Every participant, who starts for a competitor, must submit the official Power of Attorney. The right to protest must be given in writing. The precondition is that the organiser must have received from the relevant driver a completed registration/application form with the signed liability exclusion and declaration of consent.
A photocopy of the ACL/ASN applicant licence must be made available to the organiser.
PLEASE NOTE: The organiser has the right to reject registration/application forms with specifying reasons.
5. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE RULES
Every competitor and OSSC participant confirms via his registration/application form acknowledgement of the existing rules, the provisions of the International Sporting Code and those of the ACL.
6. REGISTRATION

7. APPLICATIONS
The entry fee per race event is € 750,00

Guestdrivers can be accepted providing they are holding a valid International C-Licence
. The entry fee per race is EURO 850,00
Please note that priority will be given to the registered drivers.
PLEASE NOTE: Applications will only be processed after receipt of the entry fee and the documents listed above. No refunds of the entry fee will be made in the case of non-participation in an event. For organisational reasons, the payment cannot be set off against another event.
8. VEHICLES
Permitted are sports car prototypes and two-seater racing cars, which correspond with the relevant F.I.A. homologations and Appendix K of the FIA International Sporting Code and have a valid F.I.A. Vehicle Identity Form.
8.1 The race series comprises vehicles from the following historic periods:

1.1.1972 - 31.12.1976 - F.I.A. Period H R

Canadian-American Race Series (Can-Am)
The organiser reserves the right to permit Period I vehicles to participate as an invitation class in the individual races.
These vehicles must be technically comparable with Period H vehicles, and must have no modern constructions. For example, central seaters, aerodynamic underbodies, push/pullrod suspensions, etc. are not permitted.
8.2. Breakdown into the following classes:
Class A: Two-seater sportscar over 2000cc 1966-1971 (Can-Am Big Block, 3000cc DFV)
Class B: Can-Am cars Small Block up to 6000cc 1966-1971 (McLaren M1, M6)Two-seater/closed bodywork sportscar prototypes over 2000cc 1966-1971
(T 70, GT 40, 910)
2-litres coupés + sportscars up to 2000cc 1966-1971 (B19 FVC, B16 FVC)
Class C: Two-seater sportscar/GTs up to 2000cc 1966-1969 (Chevron B 6, B8, Ginetta)
Class D: Two-seater sportscar without wing up to 2000cc 1969-1976 (B19 BDG, 212 BDG)
Class E: Two-seater sportscar up to 2000cc with wing 1972-1976 (B26/31, 292/294/296, 75 S, 76 S)
Class F: Invitation class
Two-seater sportscar up to 2000cc after 1976 Period I (B36, TOJ, Osella)
8.3. TYRES
Only AVON A11 are permitted for use as slick tyres.
Wet tyres are exempt.
9. VEHICLE CHANGE
As the competition is a driver championship, vehicle changes are permitted.
If a vehicle is changed after timed practice, the driver will, with the agreement of the race management, start from the final starting position.
10. PRACTICE AND QUALIFICATION
All competitors must qualify in the practice according to the provisions of the schedule. Those concerned must drive at least onetimed lap. The decision on the final starting positions shall rest with the race management.
One free and one timed practice is planed to be carried out. As an alternate 2 qualifyings.
11. START
For safety reasons , the start will be a ROLLING START.
At the end of the formation lap the pace car will pull off and the pole setter will lead the field at a speed between 70 kph - 90 kph until he passes the green light or flag at the starting line.
No car may overtake another one until it has passed the starting line .
The starting positions on the grid for race 1 are based on the qualifying times recorded.
The starting positions on the grid for race 2 are based on the finishing positions in race 1
(Winner race 1 = pole race 2 etc)
12. RACES
For the 2008 season, the ORWELL SuperSports Cup will be contested over what is expected to be 7 events.
Two races , each individually scored, will be held at each event.
Each race distance will be approximately 50 – 60 km.
13. SCORING SYSTEM SCHEDULE
Registered drivers and guest drivers will be given points according to the results in their class.
There will be a separate scoring for Guest drivers and Invitation class drivers which is not
part of the championship.
As these are historic vehicles and the event reflects races from that era, the point distribution follows the pattern used at the time.
1st place - 9 points
2nd place - 6 points
3rd place - 4 points
4th place - 3 points
5th place - 2 points
6th place - 1 point
In addition, each competitor receives 1 point, when he has completed the practice .
If in each class less than 6 starters take the practice session, the point allocation is reduced in accordance with this table :

At the end of the season, the points for all races will be added.
The winner of the ORWELL SuperSports Cup is the driver, who has the highest total point score. In the event of a tie at the end of the year, the number of class wins will be decisive, after that the older car will take precedence.
14. PROTESTS AND APPEAL
In the case of protests and appeals the International Sports Law of the F.I.A. and in non-
international series the Legal and Procedural Order of the ACL apply.
15. EXCLUSION OF THE JURISDICTION OF COURTS AND LIMITATION ON LIABILITY
In the case of a decision by the F.I.A., ACL, their jurisdiction, the Sports Commissioner, the series sponsor or the arranger as umpire within the meaning of § 661 of the Federal CivilCode, the jurisdiction of the courts is excluded.
No replacement claim of any kind can be derived from measures and decisions of the ACL or its sports jurisdiction and representatives of the ACL and the series sponsor, except fordamages arising from injury to life, the body or health, which are based on a deliberate or negligent breach of obligation - also of a legal representative or an employee of the group ofpersons released from liability - and also for other damages based on a deliberate or grossly negligent breach of obligation - including a legal representative or a employee of the group ofpersons released from liability
16. DISCLAIMER
The participants will take in the events at their own risk. They will bear the general civil andcriminal law liability for all damages caused by them or the vehicles used by them, in so far as no exclusion of liability is agreed. Applicants and drivers declare with the handing in ofregistration the renunciation of any kind of claims for damages arising in connection with theevents, and indeed with respect to

The liability exclusion agreement will be effective for all participants with the handingin of the registration. The renunciation of liability applies to claims on any legal grounds, especially both for claims for damages arising from contractual and alsoextra-contractual liability and also for claims arising from non-permitted action.
Tacit exclusions of liability are unaffected by the above liability exclusion clause.
17. EXEMPTION OF CLAIMS BY THE VEHICLE OWNER
In so far as applicants are not themselves owners of the vehicle to be employed, they have to ensure that the vehicle owner makes the declaration of denunciation of liability printed on the registration form. In the event of the declaration with regard to this obligation not being signed by the vehicle owner, the applicant and driver release all persons and bodies listed in Article 15 from any claim by the vehicle owner, except for damages arising from injury to life, the body or health,based on a deliberate or negligent breach of obligation - also by a legal representative or an employee of the group of persons released from liability, and except for other damages,based on a deliberate or negligent breach of obligation - also by a legal representative or anemployee of the group of persons released from liability.
The declaration of release relates, in the case of claims against the other participants (applicant, driver, co-driver), whose assistants, the ownership holders of other vehicles, their own applicants, the driver(s) (special agreements between applicants, driver(s), co-driver(s) with different wording have precedence) and their own assistants against damages, which arise in connection with racing competitions (untimed and timed practice, warm-up and races) and in case of claims against other persons and bodies for damages, which arise in connection with the event as a whole.
18. AMENDMENT TO THE COMPETITION, CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT
The series organiser reserves the right to undertake all necessary changes to the competition due to force majeure or for safety reasons or ordered by the authorities or also to cancel the event or individual competitions, if this is determined by extraordinary circumstances.
19. AUTHORITATIVE TEXT OF REGULATION
Only the German text approved by the ACL is binding.
20. ADVERTISING EXPLOITATION
All rights to the advertising exploitation and commercial use of the ORWELL SuperSports Cup series, and the right to reproduce sound and image material, also in a virtual form, will remainwith the series organiser the Kalb GmbH Company. It is expressly permitted to the series organiser to use image and sound material of the drivers/ entrants also in a virtual form, on its vehicles and at its sporting success.
Participants shall relinquish any copyrights in the year of registration and the following years to this extent or cede them to the series organiser for utilisation
21. PLACE OF JURISDICTION
If, despite the agreed general exclusion of liability in the rules, one of those concerned intends to enforce a claim by court action, then in such a case, insofar as he believes he is able to claim against the OSSC organisation, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is, insofar as it is lawful and it is possible to reach agreement, FRANKFURT/MAIN.
